Mold testing is crucial in detecting contamination, identifying the type and severity of the infestation, and evaluating potential health risks. Different methods, such as air sampling and surface sampling, are employed to collect samples for laboratory analysis. The results of mold testing offer valuable insights that inform the mold remediation process, facilitating the development of effective strategies for removal and prevention. By conducting mold testing, homeowners and property owners can have peace of mind and promptly address any mold issues.
Prolonged exposure to mold can lead to respiratory issues, such as coughing, wheezing, and difficulty breathing. It can also cause or exacerbate allergies, leading to symptoms like sneezing, itchy eyes, and a runny nose. Some individuals may experience skin irritation or develop fungal infections. Additionally, mold can release volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the air, which can cause headaches, dizziness, and fatigue. It is crucial to address mold issues promptly to maintain a healthy living environment.
First, the contaminated area is meticulously sealed off using durable, high-quality plastic sheeting. This crucial step is taken to ensure that the mold is completely contained within the designated area, preventing any potential spores from escaping and spreading to other parts of the house. By creating a controlled environment with a negative air pressure system, we’re able to effectively and efficiently direct the mold, limiting its impact on the rest of the property. This meticulous approach not only prioritizes the health and well-being of the occupants but also significantly reduces the risk of additional mold infestations in the house, ensuring a safe and secure living environment for everyone involved.
Mold remediation is an essential process for ensuring a safe and healthy living environment. It involves several steps that are meticulously carried out to effectively address mold infestations. The process begins by sealing off the affected areas to prevent the spread of mold spores. This containment ensures that the mold is confined within a designated area, minimizing the risk of further contamination.
Once containment is established, the molded surfaces undergo thorough cleaning and treatment to remove spore growth. Specialized cleaning agents and techniques are employed to eliminate mold and prevent its regrowth. Any damaged materials that cannot be salvaged are safely removed and disposed of to prevent further mold growth and potential health risks.
Finally, the area is properly dried and dehumidified to create an environment that is unfavorable for mold growth. This step is crucial in preventing future mold infestations and maintaining a mold-free space. By meticulously following these steps, mold remediation professionals ensure that the affected areas are thoroughly treated, creating a safe and healthy living environment for occupants.
Our professional, in-house technicians follow a carefully planned mold abatement process to take care of mold clean up and repair your property without room for error.
Properly protected with the latest and greatest equipment from trusted brands, our technicians always work with safety gloves, Tyvek suits, and more.
Our process involves setting up a Negative Air Machine to minimize airflow, alongside a pre-clean (Hepa vacuum) structure. We remove all loose structural debris in doubled (6-Mil) sealed plastic bags, then use a high-powered blower inside each containment area to suspend fine particulates so that they are captured by the Hepa filter.
All openings such as doorways, windows, vents, and airways are always covered with 6 mil-poly. This will insure the contaminated air can be contained.
When necessary, we conduct a demolition of the contaminated structure, and then double bag and remove those materials daily. We scrape, wire brush, sand, and dry ice blast to remove any visible mold growth from structural materials. The Hepa vacuum, bio wash (wet wipe) and then Hepa vacuum a 2nd time produces a completely dust-free environment.
We continue to use our negative air machine and air scrubbers throughout the course of the job. Hepa Air filtration runs for a minimum of 72 hours after abatement is completed, and then shuts down for a minimum of 24 hours before post remediation testing.
